If someone had told me at the age of 20 what my life would look like today, I would have dismissed them as crazy.
Back then, I was a struggling student, barely making ends meet by taking on odd jobs to fund my education. From washing dishes and waiting tables to door-to-door sales and assisting a plumber, I did whatever it took to get by. Coming from a challenging neighborhood, my academic performance was lackluster, and I was on the verge of flunking out of college with no support system or self-assurance. Needless to say, my future seemed bleak and uncertain.
Fast forward 20 years, and I now reside in the sunny city of Lisbon, Portugal. I am happily married to a wonderful woman, and together we have a beautiful daughter. My online business generates over 1 million Euros in sales annually, with projections to reach between $1.5 and $2 million this year.
Managing a team of nine individuals across five different countries, all working remotely at their convenience, has allowed me to eliminate the need for constant office supervision. This flexible setup grants me the freedom to focus on my work in the mornings, hit the gym in the afternoons, and spend quality time with my family before 5 p.m. Additionally, I have diversified my income streams by investing in real estate properties, yielding an extra €3,000 per month.
Reflecting on my journey, it's hard to believe that I couldn't speak English two decades ago, and now I am proficient in four languages. So, how did I transition from a financially struggling college student to a thriving entrepreneur?
Taking calculated risks was essential, but my insatiable curiosity and unwavering dreams were pivotal. I observed that many individuals limit themselves by not daring to envision a better future. As Henry Ford once said, "Whether you think it's possible or not, you're usually always right."
Rather than closing doors, I actively sought out opportunities and remained consistent in my efforts. By making incremental changes to my trajectory each day, I witnessed a significant shift in my life direction within a few years – or even months.
I strongly believe that with the right strategies, anyone can achieve remarkable outcomes, regardless of their field. This book aims to share the valuable lessons I've learned over the years, propelling me from a financially struggling, introverted student to an entrepreneur earning over a million dollars annually.
