Cash Sharing
With Money Express, you can share money from the comfort of your home with its Money in Minutes facility. You will be able to share cash with friends and family for just 2.5% once you have your blue (sending) and yellow (receiving) cards and they receive the cash in minutes via your mobile phone.
There are two Money Express cards—the Blue card and the Yellow card. But what is the difference?
The Blue card is the primary card and can be used to have your salary or wage paid onto it each pay day. You can also top your card up over the counter at any branch of Barclays Bank using cash. Click here to find your nearest branch.
Its two primary uses are as a Payroll Card whereby a cardholder has his wages or salary paid directly onto his card by his employer and as a cash sharing card whereby money can be shared with family members or friends abroad or here in the
The Yellow secondary card is the receiving card; it is sent to either friends or family in the country of your choice (there is a charge for this, for full details you can check the Terms and Conditions from their website).
Once you have applied, received and activated your Blue Money Express card, you can complete a simple application form for a Yellow Money Express card. Afterwards, the Yellow card will be dispatched to you. And then you can send the Yellow receivers card to the person you applied on behalf of. If you have family members living in other countries, for example in the
A yellow Money Express receiving card will then be dispatched to you, and you will simply post the Yellow receivers card to the person you applied on behalf of. From that point you will be able to share Money in Minutes simply by using your mobile phone or online to complete the transaction.
The overall limit of cash you may share between cards is up to the total amount on your Primary Blue Card, but limited to £5,000 within a single transaction.
Remember the Yellow cardholder will be able to use his card at 27 million locations worldwide just the same as the Blue card holder.
You can nominate up to two Yellow cardholders if you wish. Simply fill out the application form a second time for the second Yellow cardholder.
Once the Yellow Receivers Card has been received you can share Money in Minutes using your mobile phone. Simply text SHARE ££.pp xxxx to 80800 with the amount you wish to share. Please make sure you put the correct amount of pounds and pence and use the last 4 digits of the yellow card you want to share cash with instead of xxxx (e.g. SHARE 75.50 1234). You will be sent a prompt back where you will need to enter your own Secure Code for validation. You can set up your own Secure Code within the account settings on the website once you have received your card.
Salary And Wages
One of the primary features of the Money Express Card is its payroll function. You may download and print the form you need to complete and give to your employer in order to have your wages or salary paid directly onto your Money Express Blue Card.
Money Express Cards have been designed with dual functionality in mind; above all, they are a salary and wages payment card. This function allows employers to pay wages directly on to their employees’ card. This service is free.
Money Express will credit your card when cleared funds are received from your employer.
Most employers will usually try to arrange wage or salary payments to be available at the time expected by the employee. You can check online at any time to ensure that your wages have been paid.
If you find your employer to be reluctant to alter existing payment methods to suit your needs Money Express may be able to help. Just call its customer services department at 01904 465 198 for further details or go to www.moneyexpresscard.com for more information. Offices open at 9.00am ‘til 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Calls maybe recorded for security and quality purposes.
